Dry Skin or Rashes With Hepatitis C Combination Therapy

It is common for people taking peginterferon to get skin irritation around the injection site.
 Dry skin and rashes are also common side effects of combination therapy. If you have developed a rash or dry, itchy skin, show your healthcare provider. He or she may want to prescribe a cream or tell you about some lotions that will help clear your skin.
 
Also, avoid taking hot showers or baths. These can make rashes or dry skin worse.
