PegIntron Drug Information

PegIntron® (peginterferon alfa-2b) is a medicine used to treat hepatitis C in adults and children as young as three years old. It comes in the form of an injection that is given just under the skin (subcutaneously) every week for up to 48 weeks. This prescription medicine works by activating the body's own response to viruses.
