Who Should Not Take INCIVEK?

You should not take INCIVEK if you:
 
  • Cannot take peginterferon alfa or ribavirin.
  • Are pregnant or may become pregnant, or are a man whose partner is pregnant.
  • Take certain medications (see INCIVEK Drug Interactions).
  • Are allergic to INCIVEK, telaprevir, or any of the inactive components used to make the medication. Your healthcare provider or pharmacist has a list of the inactive ingredients.
 

Final Thoughts

There are a number of situations in which this medication should not be used, along with several safety concerns people should be aware of before beginning treatment.
