Combination therapy to treat hepatitis C uses two drugs together.
One drug is called alpha-Interferon, and the other drug is called Ribavirin. Interferon is sold under the name "Intron A or Peg-IntronTM," and Ribavirin is sold under the name "Rebetol." Interferon can work by itself to treat Hepatitis C, but Ribavirin cannot. Using the two drugs together is called "Combination Therapy."
Let's look at each one of these in a little more detail.
