Getting Rid of Used Syringes
After administering your Pegasys injection, you will need to safely dispose of your needle and syringe. To do this, your healthcare provider will give you a sharps container. Never throw your used syringes into the garbage; the sharps container is the only place where they should be disposed of.
What If I Miss an Injection?
If you forget to take one of your Pegasys injections, let your healthcare provider know right away. Your healthcare provider will tell you when you should take your next injection. This will depend on how many hours or days have passed since you missed the injection. Remember to never increase or double the amount of medication you take in your next dose. By following your healthcare provider's instructions, you can get your injections back on schedule.
