Pegases

Available by prescription only, Pegasys® (peginterferon alfa-2a) is a medication approved for treating hepatitis B and C infections. It is also approved to treat hepatitis C in adults and children as young as five years old; when treating hepatitis B, Pegasys is only approved for use in adults.
 
Pegasys comes in the form of an injection that is given just under the skin (subcutaneously). It is typically used once a week for 24 to 48 weeks; however, your dosage will depend on things like your age, weight, and how you respond to the medicine.
