Dosing Information

The dose your healthcare provider recommends will vary, depending on several factors, such as:
 
  • Your age
  • Your weight (and height for children)
  • How well you tolerate the medication
  • How well your kidneys are functioning.

Side Effects of PegIntron

Just like any medicine, PegIntron may cause side effects. Most people using this drug will develop some sort of side effect. In many cases, the reactions are merely bothersome and not usually dangerous. In other cases, the side effects may be so severe or dangerous that the medication must be stopped.
 
Some of the most common side effects include but are not limited to:
 
  • Fatigue
  • Headache
  • Skin reaction at the injection site
  • Muscle pain.
