VICTRELIS Drug Interactions

VICTRELIS Drug Interactions Explained

The following sections explain in detail the potentially negative interactions that can occur when VICTRELIS is combined with any of the drugs listed above.

Antiarrhythmic Medications
VICTRELIS may increase blood levels of antiarrhythmic medications, potentially increasing your risk for serious side effects. Your healthcare provider will monitor you closely if you take these medications together.

Bosentan
VICTRELIS can increase blood levels of bosentan, possibly increasing the risk for side effects. Your healthcare provider may choose to monitor you more closely if you take these medications together.

Certain Antifungal Medications
VICTRELIS may increase blood levels of certain antifungal medications, potentially increasing your risk for serious side effects. Your healthcare provider may need to give you lower antifungal doses if you take one of these drugs with VICTRELIS.

Certain Alpha Blockers
VICTRELIS can increase blood levels of certain alpha blockers, potentially causing dangerous side effects. VICTRELIS should not be combined with these medications.

Certain Antiseizure Medications
Carbamazepine, phenobarbital, and phenytoin can decrease VICTRELIS blood levels, potentially making the medication less effective. Talk to your healthcare provider if you take one of these antiseizure medications (also called antiepileptics). They should not be taken with VICTRELIS.

Certain Benzodiazepines
VICTRELIS can increase blood levels of alprazolam, triazolam, and midazolam, potentially increasing your risk for side effects. You should not take triazolam or oral midazolam during VICTRELIS treatment. Talk to your healthcare provider before taking these drugs together. Your healthcare provider can choose one that is not likely to interact with VICTRELIS, or adjust your benzodiazepine dosage if needed.
